What's New in CyFun 2025
📋 2025 CyFun Major Changes
- Organization: Controls now organized by NIST CSF 2.0 functions (IDENTIFY, PROTECT, DETECT, RESPOND, RECOVER and the new GOVERN)
- Governance Focus: New Governance (GV.*) requirements and controls flagged as linked to the management aspects
- Excluded measures (N/A): Up to 1 (BASIC), 3 (IMPORTANT) or 5 (ESSENTIAL) measures may be marked N/A — never a key measure, and at ESSENTIAL never a control linked to the management aspects.
- Structure Change: From single file with 3 levels to 3 separate files (BASIC, IMPORTANT, ESSENTIAL)

🔄 What This Tool Does
- →Generates the official CyFun 2025 Assessment file (v2026-02-20/3.1) for download (one corrected version and one non corrected version)
- 1Accepts a CyFun 2023 assessment or a CyFun 2025 assessment (v2025-10-21). Detects the level (BASIC/IMPORTANT/ESSENTIAL) and analyzes the completion status
- 2Maps your existing data to the 2025 assessment file: documentation score, implementation score, comment and assessor comment
- 3Adds two extra sheets: the first with deleted measures from the 2023 version (with scores and comments), the second with information about the conversion.
- ∗Provides a validator to verify that all assessed measures in your CyFun assessment are in the CyFun 2025 assessment
- ∗Provides CyFun Measures, the full list of measures with their level, origin and what changed
- ∗Provides Changed Descriptions, every requirement text that differs, shown word by word
